We want to welcome you all to the start of the 25/26 school year. To our new students and families, we want to personally welcome you all to our amazing school! To our returning students and families, welcome back for another great year! We hope you had a restful and joyful break, and we are eager to reconnect with our students, families, and community members. We encourage you to stay involved throughout the year. Your support makes a meaningful difference, and we look forward to the many opportunities for connection, celebration, and learning that lie ahead.

Anishinabe Academy Open House: Wednesday, August 27th from 3pm to 6pm at Anishinabe Academy (3100 E 28th St. Minneapolis, MN 55406)

  • We invite you to Open House at Anishinabe Academy on Wednesday, August 27th from 3pm to 6pm: Come meet your teacher and reconnect with our Anishinabe Academy staff.

  • School Supplies for 25-26 

    • Families can purchase these supplies to give to teachers during open house, on the first day of school or any other day they are able. Any supplies purchased will be shared classroom supplies.

  • Application for Benefits: AEB Lunch form (ALL Families are required to fill out a new lunch form EVERY YEAR) 

  • Upcoming community events: 

    • Friday, Aug 15 - 3:00PM: New Native Theatre Performance (3100 E 28th St. Minneapolis, MN 55406) (Auditorium) 

    • Monday & Tuesday, Aug 18 and 19 - 10AM-7PM: MPS American Indian Ed Backpack and School supply giveaway (2410 Girard Ave N, Minneapolis MN, 55411)

    • Wednesday, August 27- 3:00PM to 6:00PM: Anishinabe Academy Open House (If you are completing registration for your student at Open House please bring a Birth Certificate and immunization records)

    • Tuesday, Sept 2 - 7:30AM: First day of school for Grades 1-5

    • Thursday, Sept 4 - 7:30AM: First day of school for Pre-K and K

    • Tuesday, Sep 23 - NO SCHOOL: Rosh Hashanah
